One of the most appreciated and interpreted works of the universe of Music is the series of concerts known as The Four Seasons, by Antonio Vivaldi. What few know is that the subject inspired one of the most popular French Baroque authors of his time, Joseph Bodin de Boismortier (1689 - 1755), to write and to publish in 1724 in Paris The Four Seasons - French cantatas with one voice accompanied by Instruments. Published before Vivaldi's famous work, it is less known, and was presented in Brazil for the first time in the official season of the Sala Cecilia Meireles in 2015. Later it was interpreted in the closing concert of the XXVII International Festival of Brazilian Colonial Music and Ancient Music of Juiz de Fora, in 2016, under the direction of Marcelo Fagerlande at the harpsichord, with the singers Marilia Vargas and Marcelo Coutinho, and with Paulo Henes / Juliano Buosi at the baroque violin, Paulo da Mata at the baroque flute and Cecilia Aprigliano at the viola da gamba. The presentation had a video setting specially created by Angelica de Carvalho.
